________

Michele De Lucchi, well-known designer and architect of important buildings such as Pavilion Zero at the 2015 Milan EXPO, created a series of handmade wooden objects, assembled in the form of dense and compact haystacks. As a protagonist of international architecture and industrial design, De Lucchi tries to maintain his bond with craftsmanship by sculpting these intimate wooden totems. Although they resemble architecture, they do not correspond to any particular building nor do they have an internal space. They are architectural sculptures. With the exhibition Michele De Lucchi. Haystacks the Nivola Museum continues its reconnaissance of the designers who work at the intersection of art and architecture. In the spirit of Costantino Nivola, who has worked with architects all his life, De Lucchi recognizes that craftsmanship is essential to maintain experimentation in the world of art, design and architecture.
