Bona de Mandiargues (Rome, 1926 – Paris, 2000), an artist at the center of the intellectual circles in the Paris of post-World War II, a traveler perpetually in search of experiences and visual stimuli, is one of the protagonists of “feminine” surrealism, today finally at the center of the attention of critics and the public.
This catalogue, created on the occasion of the artist’s retrospective at the Nivola Museum, reconstructs his story for the first time through 71 works created between 1950 and 1997, coming from public and private collections.
