During the summer of 2019, the Nivola Museum welcomed Lawrence Weiner’s first project for Sardinia. ATTACKED BY THE FLOW & REFLUX is a work that refers to the action of the tides, and thus resonates with the context of the museum and the island, also relating to the experience of the exile and transfer of Costantino Nivola, although not necessarily linked to it . His work tends to be universal in its appeal to human reason and sentiments. With this project the museum continues to explore the possibilities of sculpture as an artistic medium, offering to the public an invitation to contribute, discuss and rethink our cultural, social and political field.
