________

Springs, a residency program for artists, critics, curators, architects and scholars promoted in Orani by the Nivola Foundation and curated for 2015 by Mark Gisbourne, began with Philip Topolovac and Sabine Hornig’s stays at the Nivola Museum. Sabine Hornig and Philip Topolovac are artists with different paths and expressive attitudes, but united by a similar interest in the themes – also present in Costantino Nivola’s work – of the relationship between architecture and sculpture and the continuity between the design and environmental dimension; two artists who have established fruitful collaborative relationships with the artisans of Orani and have been able to get in tune with the local community, enriching it with their presence.
