________
The sculptures of the British artist Anthony Cragg aim to assert themselves in the environment and in this sense they are placed as autonomous objects with respect to it. However, they are not completely indifferent to him. In the discreet and essential architecture of the Nivola Museum, which recently hosted the artist’s solo exhibition, and against the background of the landscape that surrounds it, they acquire a centripetal force that attracts the elements around and returns them multiplied. The shape resonates in the profiles of the hills and rocks, generating an impression of surprise and, at the same time, of familiarity.
